The Manor House Hotel Wedding
Sam & Jo’s Wedding at The Manor House Hotel, Castle Combe
get redirected here Sam & Jo’s wedding was truly special. On a very blustery and rainy Thursday in September, I joined Jo , her bridesmaids and her parents at their house in Chippenham. It was a busy morning with so many people to get ready, but everything remained surprisingly calm and it was a lovely time! I left ahead of the girls to pop around the corner to St Mary’s Catholic Church for the wedding ceremony. Bob McNaught, a very talented bagpiper, turned the guests’ arrival into a very grand affair, playing everyone in the the ceremony venue. It was a great nod to the bride’s Scottish heritage! This was one of my favourite wedding ceremonies conducted with such humour and a relaxed atmosphere. You can see everyone giggling in the photos!

Driving in to the venue really does take your breath away, and Jo and Sam were lucky enough to be greeted with sun for a confetti tunnel as they got out of the wedding cars. There’s so many spots in the immaculate grounds of the Manor House that I was literally spoilt for choice as a wedding photographer! Between some really suprising downpours of rain was glorious sun (it was a weird weather day!) so I managed to get some photos of the bride and groom looking like something straight out of a fairytale.
The speeches and the wedding breakfast were definitely raucous, and I took Sam & Jo off for a few more minutes after they had eaten for a few more wedding photos. I always think it’s nice to get out by yourselves for a few moments later in the day, and just enjoy each others companies. The day just flies by so fast.
Meanwhile, everyone was entertained by Daniel Chard the magaician, who really wowed with some fantastic tricks before it was on to the first dance. They both looked gorgeous on the dance floor and it’s always lovely seeing two people so in love! Jo then threw her bouquet to the single ladies (and Sam’s dad who got in on the action!) and my favourite photos of the evening are the very exciting woman who caught it and showed off her catch to her fiance. It was hard to drag myself away from the party, but I eventually left them to enjoy the night. What a day!
