From the hilarious to the downright emotional, here is our list of the top 5 best ever movies about weddings to get you in the mood for your big day! So we start at number 5…

#5 Bridesmaids

Often referred to as the female version of The Hangover, Bridesmaids is laugh out loud funny and quite endearing. Unusual because it focuses on the friendship of the two main female characters rather than the romantic relationships, this is a great one to watch with your bridal party before the big day!

#4 Wedding Crashers

The groomsmen will definitely appreciate this great bromance  between Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson who crash weddings to take advantage of the booze, food and women. Ridiculous and hilarious but with the right amount of sappiness to make it a perfect pre-wedding watch.

#3 Father of the Bride

One for the parents, Father of the Bride will get the tears rolling. A very beautiful story with great comedic moments, it is definitely one of Steve Martin’s best.

#2 Mama Mia!

What more could you want? A beautiful outdoor wedding on a Greek island set to the soundtrack of Abba. Mama Mia is so much fun, and I am yet to meet a man who doesn’t secretly enjoy it as well. It will definitely leave a smile on your face, if not just because of Pierce Brosnan’s singing!

#1 Four Weddings and a Funeral

Of course, the top wedding film has to be Four Weddings and a Funeral. Although it is actually not that centred on the weddings, the way it treats friendship and love is bound to get you laughing or crying hysterically at regular intervals. Romantic and emotional without being overly cheesy, this is the ultimate British wedding film!
