Anran Wedding

Hollie and Jamie’s wedding at Anran @ Tidwell Farm, based in beautiful Ashburton was a high energy day filled with so much fun. I love a Christmas wedding, and the crisp weather and snowfall made it the most magical winter day.

It was so special to be with these two as I have been with them photographing some massive landmark moments in their lives! Starting with their maternity shoot before the birth of their beautiful daughter Callie, and then having the honour of capturing Jamie’s magical proposal to Hollie, it was such an honour to be there for this special day as well.

It started with a little bit of drama, as unexpected snow iced over the lanes up to the venue and I managed to skid my car off the road… massive shout out to the amazing videographers Harvey Films for rescuing me! We all made it to the venue safely and got going with the day.

The ceremony pushed back by an hour to allow some time for the roads to melt for people to make it safely, but honestly, I couldn’t believe how relaxed Hollie and Jamie were all morning! It paid off – after this slightly rocky start, the rest of the day was totally smooth sailing.

I can’t express how much fun this day was and the energy kept ramping up right up until we headed off around midnight. From the mulled cider reception to epic choreographed dancing on to sparklers and champagne towers, their wedding day had it all. Most importantly, a guest appearance from their gorgeous dog Ajax.

This was so much fun to capture. Such a lovely day with such lovely people!
