Arnos Vale Wedding

Annie and Steph’s wedding at Arnos Vale was everything I could hope for as a wedding photographer! Relaxed, fun and vibrant, these woman absolutely smashed their unconventional day.

Getting ready was a blast, with the two of them and the 12 members of their brides’ party all doing their own hair and makeup. I tried to capture the amazing chaos, and also the moments of calm of just Annie and Steph in between.

Although the weather was touch and go, they were determined to go ahead with their outdoor ceremony at the Underwood Centre and would luck would have it, the rain held off for them and we trekked through the wood up to the hut.

Annie’s dad played for them as they both walked down the aisle together, which was incredibly touching. I think the photos of them during the ceremony are so touching, as you can see how excited and emotional they were to be finally tying the knot.

The drinks reception was perfect, only briefly interrupted by a short shower but the sea of rainbow umbrellas cheered things up! Everyone enjoyed their drinks and toasted marshmallows while we did some fun and relaxed group photos.

While the guests headed down to the Anglican Chapel for the wedding breakfast, I took Annie and Steph off for their couples’ photos. We went to my favourite spot – the graffiti house and then grabbed some candid shots of them as we walked back down for food.

They made the most amazing post entrance in to the room and their wedding breakfast was a picnic basket filled with scotch eggs and pork pies – all of the good stuff. Afterwards their epic round of speeches had everyone giggling and crying before it was off to the Spielman for the evening party.

The brides performed their first dance al fresco – on the portico outside the Spielman Centre which looked epic, before heading inside to cut the cake and to give their own speeches to each other. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house!

I left after witnessing everyone’s epic dance moves and left them to party in to the night.
