Brympton House Wedding
Laura and Curt organised the most amazing, stylish winter wedding at Brympton House. In the middle of December, this absolute riot of a day brightened up the gloomy, cold weather.
The morning was really fun as both parties were so large there was an amazing atmosphere. It’s always a good laugh getting ready with all your closest friends. Laura and her bridesmaids were in the cottage for their hair and make up, and I joined the groomsmen in the Library for the end of their getting ready and the all important snooker shots!
The ceremony was in the beautiful chapel and it looked stunning lit up with candles and decorated with the winter foliage. I loved Curt’s emotional face as he saw how stunning Laura looked as she walked down the aisle with her dad. His cheer as they were pronounced husband and wife was definitely my favourite moment from the wedding day.
It was totally serendipitous that the sun came out just as they were walking out from the ceremony, and we got to do an epic confetti tunnel in (what turned out to be) the last sun of the day.
It was absolutely freezing, but Laura powered through and we went straight in to the group photos. It started raining just as we were finishing up, so we headed inside and enjoyed the fire and waited for a gap in the clouds. We ended up with a 5 minute window to do their couples photos before the sun set which actually worked out perfectly!
Then it was time for the wedding breakfast, so the guests headed up the stairs to the beautiful dining room. The bride and groom entered to absolute thunderous applause, and then it was on to speeches. Lots of laughter and lots of tears.
Downstairs we did the cake cutting in the hallway, and it felt particularly Christmassy with the tree and the fire. Most the guests then headed up to the barn for the party, but I headed off with the girls back to the cottage as Laura was changing in to her second wedding dress, an amazing sparkly number which was perfect for a party!
Up at the barn, Laura and Dad kicked off the evening with a Beyonce song, and Curt stepped in to join with some incredible moves. They had an amazing Saxophonist who was improvising over the DJ creating an amazing atmosphere and was so much fun.
The party was such a laugh and there was some incredible dancing to capture. What an amazing day!
