TJ & Laura’s
Canada Lodge Wedding
It was an unbelievable honour to get to capture Laura & Tj’s colourful, fun wedding at Canada Lodge in October. I met these two the year before their wedding and honestly couldn’t wait for their day to happen.
These women had so much energy, and it was totally matched by their crowd of lively, close friends most of whom they played football with. It was so great to be surrounded by so much laughter and joy!
Laura walked down the aisle with her daughter Primrose and I LOVED seeing TJ’s face as she saw them coming in. The amazing Leopard Print Celebrant conducted a personal ceremony and you could tell she really got to know them both to put together a memorable service.
Alongside all of that joy was something deeply meaningful. Before their wedding, TJ and Laura experienced the heartbreak of a stillbirth and chose to honour their daughter, Amelie, during the day. She was mentioned often with love and each bridesmaid carried a single rose down the aisle and placed it on the empty seat where she should have been sitting. I wanted to mention this as they have raised a lot of money and awareness for charity - you can find out more or donate here.
There were so many tears throughout the day in honour of their dinky dot, but the day was still filled with so much happiness and you could feel the love and support from everyone. And they continued to bring the party to their day! Laura & TJ entered the wedding breakfast with a saxophone player to get the crowd going, and after their close friend performed a set, they kicked off the evening with the amazing Bandeoke and got everyone on the dance floor with their performance of Pink Pony Club.
It was a stunning day with amazing people! These two are absolutely kick ass, and despite having the worst thrown at them, have come through together stronger and helped others.
